It's been a busy week, especially with elections this past Tuesday.
I'm thankful for:
1. The blue tsunami! I'm so happy to have democrats win the house, senate, and several governorships. Go Texas and South Carolina!!
2. I was able to help some friends vote by providing rides and a reminder phone call.
3. Halloween was really fun. I made myself a skeleton costume, handed out candy for a bit, and went to a Halloween party at Aaron and Andrea's house. My neighborhood also goes all out for Halloween and there was a yard party one street over that was very loud and attracting all of the trick or treaters!
4. A 4 miles and change walk/hike on the C&O canal at Pennyfield lock on Friday in beautiful fall colors.
5. I had a great visit with mom yesterday when our pastor Joshua came to visit her. She was really animated and telling stories from Vietnam and other parts of her life.
6. I just finished a great book, The Secret Chord, by Geraldine Brooks.
